Industry and software development

  1. 2021–2022

    Vice President, Artificial Intelligence

    Powertree, Montréal

    • Led the computer vision and language processing team, reporting directly to the C-suite.
    • Owned the pipelines that recognize and read labels on electrical equipment.
    • Deployed AI models to the cloud for maintenance software for building electrical systems.
  2. 2015–2021

    Independent contracts

    Universities and companies

Delivered research contracts, application development, strategic planning in artificial intelligence and computer vision, and data acquisition and analysis.

  3. 2015–2018

    Computer vision research and development

    Mirametrix, Montréal

    • Developed a high-performance library for epipolar geometry and geometric transformations in computer vision.
    • Developed real-time gaze tracking and face detection algorithms in C++ and Python.
    • Ported vision algorithms and neural networks to embedded systems such as the Raspberry Pi (what is now called TinyML) for automotive applications.
    • Designed and built the high-frequency, high-volume data acquisition system for motion capture, adapting the company's commercial system to the team's own requirements.
    • Helped design the acquisition campaigns: test protocols, hardware and planning.
  4. 2012

    Research internship (six months)

    CEA-Saclay, computer vision laboratory, France

    • Estimated scene lighting from reflections on shiny objects, to insert virtual objects realistically.
    • Conducted the literature review, built the prototypes and produced the first reconstructions on simulated data.
